Bristol Harbour Festival 2024

The annual festival takes place between 19 - 21 July 2024

The Bristol Harbour Festival is free for all and brings over 250,000 people together each summer to celebrate our rich maritime history and enjoy some of the city’s best music and entertainment.

From the SS Great Britain all the way into the heart of Bristol, tall ships, music stages, dance areas, food markets, water display teams and circus acts combine to ensure that everywhere you turn, there’s something to delight and entertain. The site spans from Welshback to the SS Great Britain. Listen to the sounds of the Harbour Festival’s live performers as you browse the sights of Narrow Quay’s market and exhibition area.

50th Anniversary

2022 celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Bristol Harbour Festival. The amphitheatre’s Bristol Music Stage featured Dazee, Black Roots and Doreen Doreen in a stellar celebration of the city’s music scene. The Circus Playground returned to Queen Square with Cirque Bijou lining up circus and street theatre performances for all the family, while Trinity Community Arts presents Bristol Dances in Millennium Square.

Nine performance areas featured familiar favourites and new attractions, filling one and a half miles of the city with music, vessels, food markets, circus acts, live music and performers this July. Ebb & Flow, an inclusive programme showcasing community collaborations and emerging and established creative voices throughout the festival.
