The Bay Series

The Cardiff Bay Series is an annual series of live music events and music festivals. The waterfront transforms, bringing locals and out-of-towners together to enjoy the very best of summer. Taking place at Alexander Head, the Cardiff Bay Series line up varies every year. In Cardiff Bay, you can immerse yourself in history, enjoy great food and dance the night away.

McFly and Sam Ryder

McFly, a British pop-rock band, gained fame for their catchy tunes and dynamic live performances. The band took their name from the Back to the Future character Marty McFly. The band consists of Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd. You can expect their most popular songs, Star Girl, Obviously and Five Colours in Her Hair.

Sharing the spotlight with McFly is none other than the iconic Sam Ryder, known for his interstellar Eurovision track - Spaceman. Ryder’s soulful vocals and magnetic stage presence will add an extra layer of magic to the night.

New Order in Cardiff

Get ready to immerse yourself in an unforgettable musical experience as the legendary band New Order takes centre stage in the vibrant heart of Cardiff Bay. Against the backdrop of the bay's scenic beauty, their iconic beats and electrifying performances promise to turn the waterfront into a pulsating haven for music enthusiasts.

New Order will be joined by a huge supporting bill including Madchester heroes, The Charlatans. The electronic music pioneers formed after the disbandment of Joy Division and are noted as being one of the first bands to bridge the gap between post-punk and dancefloor. They haven't played the Welsh capital since 1983. In 2023, the band celebrated 40 years of their hit ‘Blue Monday’ and announced reissued editions of their classic compilation ‘Substance 1987’, the band’s biggest-selling album to date.

There is limited pay and display parking in Cardiff Bay, and again a 20-minute walk to the venue. This is due to its location in Cardiff Bay, away from roads and only accessible on public walkways. It is opposite Cardiff White Water.
